Wellbeing REACH OUT PROGRAM

The RSL SA Reach Out Wellbeing Program has been established to provide its overall goal of guidance, support, and service advice in a one-stop shop approach to Veterans and their families, statewide.

The RSL SA Reach Out Wellbeing Program has been designed to increase the quality and competency of our important volunteer army, providing them with the tools and training required to become recognised RSL Wellbeing Support Officers (WSOs).

Our WSOs go through a rigorous training and checking program to be deemed accredited to provide any support or services.

Still unsure?  We’ve put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions:

1)      What does a WSO do?

A WSO will visit veterans in their homes or a preferred location of choice. A WSO comes equipped with a library of services available to those they are supporting.  They are there to listen and offer guidance and support to Veterans and their families.

2)      I’m a Veteran/Family Member, how do I access the program?

Simple……Click the button above for support, phone the RSL Reach Out team on (08) 8100 7300 or email direct to reachout@rslsa.org.au.

We will take care of the rest.

3)      Does it cost anything?

Absolutely NOT!  You served us, we serve you!

4)      Is there a time period for how long I am in the program?

Not at all.  Once in the program, we’ll continue to support you until you tell us otherwise.

5)      I want to volunteer to be a WSO for the Reach Out Program.  What next?

Great news!  We’d love to have you.

If you relate to the following criteria, the next step is simple.  Click on the button above to show your interest in volunteering and we’ll be in touch.

·       Be able to travel to at least one of the designated areas identified.

·       Have a level of computer knowledge and be able to use a database via a smart phone or laptop.

·       Have a driver's licence.

·       Able to undertake training for the role as required.

·       Ability to work as a part of the Reach Out Wellbeing team.
