VIETNAM WAR MEMORIAL DEDICATED 2006
Twenty years ago, on Sunday 15th October 2006, the Vietnam War Memorial, Adelaide, was opened by Lieutenant General Sir Donald Dunstan. Thousands attended the commemoration at the Torrens Parade Ground. Australian veterans and Vietnamese veterans, and families witnessed the special commemoration, and socialised afterwards.
After several years of united planning and fundraising, and months of construction the magnificent memorial was dedicated to acknowledge service, sacrifice, memories and the support of loved ones.
On Vietnam Veterans Day 2026 Lieutenant Colonel John Spencer (Ret’d) delivered this address about the memorial purpose and development: https://bit.ly/4qtfYUi
