VICTORY IN THE PACIFIC 80TH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE 15/8/25

A commemorative service for the 80th anniversary of the WW11 Japanese surrender was conducted on Friday 15th August, at the WW11 Wall of Remembrance at the SA National War Memorial, corner of North Terrace and Kintore Avenue, Adelaide. Her Excellency the Governor, Mr Bunten, General Sir Peter Cosgrove, WW11 veterans, families, ADF service chiefs and public attended.

General Sir Peter Cosgrove AK CVO MC was the guest speaker. Australian Army Band Adelaide played the music and the bugler sounded the calls. A Tr-Service Catafalque Party was mounted and to conclude a RAAF P8 Poseidon flew over the memorial.
