VE DAY 80th ANNIVERSARY

On 8th May RSL South Australia conducted a Victory in Europe 80th anniversary service to mark the end of the war with Nazi Germany.

Set at the WW2 Wall of Remembrance alongside the SA National War Memorial, Adelaide, it was attended by Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten, Service Chiefs, veterans, invited guests, the public and students from Annesley Junior School.

At the end of the service a highlight was the flyover by a P8 Poseidon aircraft thanks to the Royal Australian Air Force. Most appropriate given the RAAF contribution in the WW2 European Theatre and the significant losses from service and sacrifice.
